Quarterly Maintenance Checklist

A Trained Operator can perform the following maintenance tasks. If any maintenance items fail, measures should be taken to remedy the problem and prevent damage to the energy storage system.

Every three months, the following maintenance tasks should be performed, in addition to the tasks listed in the Monthly Maintenance Checklist.

Confirm the E-Stop is labeled, accessible, and functional (not physically obstructed or damaged).

Clean or replace the air intake filter.

Verify the internal condensate drain below the dehumidifier is not clogged.

Check for signs of water pooling at the bottom of the cabinet — a blocked drain or failed dehumidifier may trigger a flood sensor alert.

✅ Thermal Management System

Inspect for coolant leaks.

If the TMS has signaled a low pressure alarm, top up using 50/50 ethylene glycol mix coolant.

Turn ON the battery and verify the functionality of the pump and fans.

  • Check for water flow by touching the liquid cooler piping with your hand and listen for the sound of the liquid cooler fan turning.

  • If the system is within temperature range you might not hear the fans and the pump will run at a very slow rate.  It may take a few minutes for the system to preform checks and engage.

Replace if there is excess noise or other failure.

During the Winter, turn ON the battery and check the functionality of the heater. During the Summer, check the functionality of the chiller.

System logs. Record temperature measurements and document any maintenance performed on TMS components.
