Preventive Maintenance

Preventive maintenance is proactive, to reduce the likelihood of faults or performance degradation. Perform maintenance:

  • At fixed intervals. Based on elapsed time or usage (such as operational hours and charge/discharge cycles).

  • According to predefined criteria. Typically derived from known failures or environmental conditions.

The preventive maintenance tasks are performed by three different groups of personnel:

  1. Trained Operator
Basic inspections and upkeep that can be performed by trained site personnel (such as a Facility Engineer or Operations Staff)

  2. Qualified Service Operator
Intermediate tasks carried out by a qualified field service representative or qualified service provider.

  3. Manufacturer
Advanced diagnostics, part replacement, and upgrades that can only be performed by Discover Energy Systems (DES) or a certified service provider.
