SERVICE RECORDS AND LOGS

Maintaining comprehensive service records and logs ensures reliable operation, safety, and warranty compliance for the AES Cabinet Battery Energy Storage System. The following are recommended service records and logs, including the suggested service intervals.

Recommended Service Logs and Records

  1. Monthly Maintenance Log

    • Visual inspection. Check the cabinet and inverter for damage, corrosion, leaks, or any visual abnormalities.

    • Clean. Wipe cabinet surface and check the paint.

    • Air pathways. Confirm airways for ventilation are clear.

    • Environmental conditions: Record ambient temperature and humidity levels.

    • Indicator lights and alarms: Verify all operational indicators and document any alarms or abnormal signals.

  2. Quarterly Maintenance Log

    • Battery system voltage and current readings: Regularly record battery voltage, state of charge (SOC), and current values.

    • Inverter performance: Document the inverter output (voltage, current, frequency) and any irregularities.

    • Communication check: Verify LYNK II gateway and CANbus communications.

    • Record temperature measurements.

    • Confirm TMS proper coolant flow and fan operation.

    • Confirm the operation of smoke detectors, heat detectors, alarms, and the aerosol fire suppression system.

    • Verify the integrity and expiration dates of all fire suppression components.

  3. Annual Maintenance Log

    • Perform detailed visual and functional inspections of all internal and external components.

    • Full verification of auxiliary power system functionality.

    • Document torque checks and verify tightness of connections.

    • Perform insulation resistance tests and document results.

    • Comprehensive check of emergency stop systems and other safety interlocks.

    • Full test of fire suppression systems, thermal management system, dehumidifier, and other components.

    • Document battery health assessment including capacity tests and voltage balance checks.

  4. Incident Logs (As needed)

    • Immediately document any incidents, alarms, faults, corrective actions, and repairs performed.

    • Document activation events of fire suppression or emergency stop systems.

Recommended Record Formats

  • Digitally, through secured cloud-based monitoring platforms like LYNK CLOUD.

  • Physically, with logs stored on-site for immediate review and audit.

Importance and Risks

Regular documentation supports warranty claims, ensures compliance with safety standards, and provides essential data for diagnosing potential future issues. Failure to maintain proper logs can result in operational inefficiencies, voided warranties, safety hazards, and regulatory non-compliance.

Following these structured intervals will help maintain the AES Cabinet Battery Energy Storage System as well as its safety and operational performance.
