  • EMS/MGC ↔ SBAU: Modbus TCP/IP (via RJ45 Ethernet)

  • SBAU ↔ SBCU: CANbus

  • SBCU ↔ SBMU: CANbus

  • SBMU ↔ Cells: Voltage and temperature monitoring

Cluster – Definition

A cluster represents one battery rack (Cabinet), managed by one SBCU and composed of multiple SBMUs and battery cells (Packs).

  • Each SBCU communicates with SBAU via CANbus.

  • Each SBAU supports up to 32 clusters (Cabinets).

  • Clusters are individually controlled and monitored by EMS via Modbus.

The SBAU acts as a Modbus TCP/IP server. The EMS/MGC communicates as the Modbus TCP/IP client.
