Preparation

Notify all relevant personnel of the planned test.

Ensure the system is in a safe state and confirm the energy storage cabinet is offline.
Functional Test (without discharge)

Use a suitable smoke generator or smoke detector testing spray (simulated smoke) designed for smoke detector tests.

Apply simulated smoke directly toward the smoke detector.

Confirm the following:

Audible and visual alarms are activated (sirens, strobes).

System triggers an internal protection state (cuts DC output, triggers alarms, indicators flash)

Verify alarms in the LYNK ACCESS software.

Reset and Compile Results
-
After verifying the alarms, reset the fire alarm system per the manufacturer's instructions.

Confirm all detectors return to their normal state and no faults remain active in LYNK ACCESS software.

Record the date of the test and its results in the maintenance logs, making note of:

Alarms triggered
-
Detectors tested
-
Corrective actions taken.
