Battery Startup Procedure

PROCEDURE

  1. Confirm the polarity of battery cables.

  1. Confirm all the batteries are OFF.

  1. Close the circuit breakers on all the batteries.

  1. Close all loads on the DC bus, including the breaker for the battery connection on the inverter.

  1. Turn on the batteries with their ON/OFF push buttons.
Each battery goes through a load qualification process and a pre-charge process.

    • If both processes complete successfully, the battery LED turns ON and the battery begins supplying power.

    • If the LED flashes, either the battery failed to adequately precharge, or a load qualification error occurred. It may be necessary to turn batteries OFF/ON multiple times to successfully perform the pre-charge process for some inverters.

    • If the LED continues to indicate a fault, use LYNK Access software to identify details about the fault.
